The ropeway runs from Deendayal Upadhyay Park to Mansapurna Karni Mata Temple located atop the Machhala Magar hilltop.

It was commenced to make it easier for the public to reach the holy shrine providing a grand view of the Pichola Lake. It was the first ropeway transportation
in Rajasthan.
